• Open the Rental application.
• Click on Products
• Click the New button to create a new rental product.

• Enable the Can be Rented option on the product form.

Configure Rental Prices

Pickup the Rental Product

After confirming the rental order, the product is reserved for the selected rental period and its status changes to Booked. The next step is to hand over the product to the customer by processing the pickup.

• Click the Pickup button.
• Verify the pickup details.

• Click Validate to confirm the product pickup.

Return the Rental Product

Once the customer has finished using the rented product, you can process its return in Odoo. Returning the product updates its availability and completes the rental cycle.

• Open the rental order for which the product has been picked up.
• Verify the rental details and return date.
• Click the Return button.
• Review the return information.

• Click Validate to confirm the return.

Create the Customer Invoice

After the rental product has been returned, the final step is to generate the customer invoice. Odoo 19 automatically calculates the rental charges based on the configured rental period and pricing, making the invoicing process quick and accurate.

• Open the completed rental order.
• Click the Create Invoice button.

• Click Create Draft Invoice.
